Customs Affairs launches the electronic system for issuing invoices
d

Customs Affairs launched the electronic system for issuing invoices in cooperation with the Information and e-Government Authority. The additional payment service comes to facilitate procedures and achieve the goal of the Customs Affairs Strategy 2021-2024 related to linking fee collection services with the available electronic payment platforms.

The new service allows employees of Customs Affairs to issue e-invoices sent to the applicant via e-mail or text message so that the applicant can complete the payment process electronically.

Director of Financial Resources at Customs Affairs, Hamad Ahmed Buhiji, confirmed that the diversity of e-payment channels makes it easier for customers to benefit from electronic services without the need to visit customs centres and that the system will contribute to the completion of operations in the shortest possible time and any place.

The authority's Director of eService and Channel Development, Ahmed Albalooshi, appreciated the cooperation between the two sides. He explained that the launch of the new service aligns with the Authority's strategic direction, especially in continuing to enhance the electronic transformation of government services. It is also in line with its direction to provide multiple channels for e-payment for various government services, allowing beneficiaries to complete their transactions and save time and effort.

It is worth noting that the electronic invoice issuance system will include many services, including, for example, a request to specify the Harmonized System Code, a paperless copy of the customs tariff, and a request for information from the record holder.

Customs Affairs thanks the Information and e-Government Authority for its efforts and cooperation in launching the system and for continuously contributing to developing electronic services provided by Customs Affairs.
