Director-General of Customs Clearance and Services Waleed Al Sabagh announced the released of an auditing guide for companies in all economic sectors, including national industries, imports and logistic services.
He said that the guide was part of the directives of His Excellency Customs President, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa to document procedures and promote sustainable developments.
The proceeds of e-payments for customs duties and taxes has exceeded BD 40 million in 2020, Customs Affairs Director General of Planning and Administrative Affairs Shaikh Turki bin Duaij Al Khalifa has said.
This is a tangible and clear reflection of constructive cooperation between Customs Affairs and Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) to achieve electronic transformation in the customs sector, he said.
Shaikh Turki said that statistics indicated a remarkable use of the "paying customs duties and taxes” service.
