Customs Affairs and WCO signs an agreement

The Customs Affairs has signed an agreement with the World Customs Organisation to translate the second edition of the revenues document to Arabic. The President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa signed the agreement in the side-line of his participation in the meeting of the General Policies Commission of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) that was held in India from December 3-5.

The agreement comes to enrich the customs-related documents in the library of the WCO with Arabic documents to be distributed among Arab countries to encourage building capabilities in the region. The Customs Affairs has translated 16 new documents. The revenues document includes all the tools and papers required to collect revenues, including conventions, agreements and training materials
