HE Interior Minister receives President of Customs

His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received on Monday His Excellency President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his reelection as the Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Council. He won unopposed for the second time. 

HE Interior Minister congratulated him for winning this prestigious post that reflects the reputation of Bahrain and the capabilities of Bahrainis in carrying essential international tasks.

Customs president elected uncontested WCO Council chairman

His Excellency President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has re-won unopposed the position of the Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) council during the virtual extraordinary session 138 of the WCO council held from June 24-26 with the participation of 183 member countries. On this occasion, Shaikh Ahmed expressed gratitude for the international trust in Bahrain and the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
