World Population Day

An annual event observed on 11th July, whose aim is to raise awareness of global population issues, its rise impact on development, economic and environmental resources. Established by the governing council of the United National Development Program (UNDP) in 1989. It was inspired by public interest on July 11, 1987, the approximate date when the world’s population reached five Billion people.
