President of Customs take part in a conference in Dubai
President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has participated in a conference on border management and technology in the Middle East in Dubai. The event focuses on customs digital transformation, trade facilitation, and risk management.
The President of Customs highlighted the accomplishments of managing customs land ports through processing loaded trucks via the King Fahad Causeway of an average waiting period of 52 minutes in August 2021, compared with 757 minutes in the previous years.
He highlighted the goals of the Customs Strategy 2021-2024, to create a new generation of customs digital transformation and facilitate international trade.
