Al Amn: Customs Affairs to use high-tech equipment at ports
Head of Investigation at the Customs Affairs Major Abdullah Subah Al Dossairi said on Al Amn Radio show on Thursday that hi-tech equipment will be used to facilitate traffic at the customs ports.
He said the Customs Affairs was keen to ensure a smooth and fast movement of traffic while ensuring sufficient inspection. He said that in February 15,000 trucks entered Bahrain and as many exited through King Fahad Causeway.
He also said the pre-customs clearance from April 1 had four phases and would enable the Customs Affairs to know beforehand the nature of products on the arriving trucks.
