Customs Training Institute course for chemical-importing firms

The Customs Training Centre has held a course for clearance agents and representatives of companies that import chemical products. It was organised in cooperation with the National committee for banning manufacturing, production, storage and usage of chemical weapons and their destruction. Thirty-eight specialists from government organisations and companies attended the course.

It focused on the general operations of the committee to license and allow chemicals in Bahrain, while the team of the e-clearance system "Horizon" of the Customs Affairs presented a paper on how to apply for permission through the system.

Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Civil Defence focused on the safety conditions to store, transport and deal with high-risk chemicals and ways to tackle chemicals-related accidents.
