Director-General of Customs Security and Inspection, Brigadier Abdullah Al Kubaisi announced on Monday that the Customs Affairs had processed 185 items arrived through the Air Freight Shipping and 444 items through the Bahrain International Airport for the Jewellery Arabia. He said that more products would come soon.
The Customs Affairs, in cooperation with the departments concerned, has offered facilities for the entry of products to be showcased at Jewellery Arabia. He said that as part of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister and the follow up of His Excellency President of Customs, a team that works 24 hours formed of 29 customs officers, including five female staff who work in shifts to clear products.
He said the Customs Affairs distributes annually publications in both Arabia and English languages highlighting the customs rules for holding exhibitions in Bahrain and steps to import and export products. He hailed all concerned authorities that are associated with the success of the event for their cooperation.
