To mark World Customs Day, the Customs Affairs has granted the Economic Operator Certificate to some companies after fulfilling the certificate's criteria. The criteria include the commitment to the maximum level of customs systems and procedures and related activities listed in the Customs Affairs’ economic operator guide.
The President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the companies that obtained the certificates, highlighting that they represent a role model for other firms to follow their footsteps. It is worth mentioning that the Economic Operator Programme aims to facilitate the international trade and customs supervisory role. It provides various privileges and facilities for the operators through facilitating the exports and import operations.
