Customs President Chairs WCO meeting
His Excellency President of Customs, Acting Chairperson of World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Regional Representative of North Africa and Middle and Far East, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has chaired the virtual 52nd regional meeting of the regional customs.
During the opening remark, the President of Customs highlighted the efforts of the WCO to continue operations within the coronavirus pandemic.
During the meeting, the Director-Generals backed the nomination of Shaikh Ahmed for the WCO Presidency in the upcoming elections. The meeting discussed topics that could promote cooperation and coordination.
