Customs President His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has held a second meeting with Saudi Governor of the General Customs Authority Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Haqbani and the accompanying delegation. The meeting was part of cooperation to deal with the obstacles facing customs operations in both countries. HE the Customs President welcomed them and reviewed issues of common interest, including coordination of both countries’ stands at the World Customs Organisation and other international bodies, implementation of the Economic Operator Programme and the fast lane as well as the system of pre-customs clearance.
The Saudi Governor thanked the Customs Affairs for its hospitality and affirmed the importance of such periodic meetings to follow up on the developments.
