Customs Affairs and IBM Terminals Bahrain, the operator of Khalifa bin Salman Port, signed a service-level agreement, which guarantees advanced levels of customs services. Present were President of Customs His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Ports Affairs and Maritime Navigation at the Ministry of Transport and Communications His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa and Mrs. Maureen Bannerman, CEO of IBM Terminals Bahrain.
The President of Customs confirmed that Customs Affairs continued to provide the best solutions and achieve the most effective practices, by strengthening partnership with all parties of the customs process.
The agreement aims to obtain an exchange agreement to provide distinguished services to customers, provide a clear message to customers and determine the responsibility of both parties, in addition to clearly visualizing the level of service provided to the customer.
Present were Assistant Undersecretary for Ports Affairs Mr. Badr Hood Al Mahmoud, Chief Executive of Government and Security Affairs Mr. Isa Mohammed Al Qatami and a number of directors-general of customs affairs.
