No VAT on personal imports worth less than BD300
The Customs Affairs announced on Sunday that the personal imports and gifts for individuals worth less than BD300 would be excluded from the Value Added Tax (VAT).
The announcement follows coordination and cooperation with the National Bureau for Taxation and comes as part of the explanation of taxes and administrative fees linked to VAT in the wake of the implementation of the related rules and laws and the methods of its calculation at either 5% or 0%.
