Hi-tech scanners to screen containers, trucks

Bahrain has imported four hi-tech scanners to screen containers and lorries. The Customs Affairs had signed an agreement with the Swiss-based Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) to import the latest models of the equipment.  "The King Fahd Causeway and the Khalifa bin Salman Seaport will each get two scanners to screen trucks and containers," said Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Customs Affairs honours participants in SLA training course

Under the patronage of His Excellency Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, an ceremony was held on Sunday to honour the participants in a training course on the service level agreement (SLA). Organised from April 22 to 30 in cooperation with the Orient Middle East Company, the course was attended by 23 Customs Affairs employees.
