His Excellency President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has received Chairman of Ajman Department of Ports and Customs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi and the accompanying delegation. In the beginning, the President welcomed the guests and highlighted that the visit was part of efforts to reinforce joint works between GCC customs authorities.
His Excellency President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has participated in the opening of a session of the World Customs Organisation in Brussel. He presented a paper on the future of the customs work in relation to the development of information technology. He highlighted the importance for the WCO to form a global digital platform to enable customs authorities to exchange information through modern techniques, such as Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.
